Job Description

The Communications Manager for Facility Optimization Solutions (FOS) is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and communication campaigns, managing brand storytelling, media relations, digital assets, and internal communications to enhance visibility, reputation, and business growth within a multidisciplinary design firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage storytelling initiatives to strengthen brand identity and reputation
  • Draft, edit, and oversee production of press releases, newsletters, blog posts, speeches, and social media content
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers
  • Coordinate media inquiries, press events, and speaking engagements for leadership
  • Manage and optimize website content, email marketing campaigns, and social media channels
  • Track engagement and campaign success using analytics to refine digital strategies
  • Plan and manage marketing communications budget and advertising efforts
  • Oversee conference event planning, coordination, and post-event evaluation
  • Develop internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and organizational culture
  • Prepare proactive and timely responses for crisis and high-profile issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, PR or marketing
  • Minimum of 6 years related experience in communications, marketing, or a similar field
  • Prior management experience in a relevant role
  • Experience working with a hybrid, geographically dispersed team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with media relations, including drafting, editing, and overseeing production of press releases, newsletters, blog posts, speeches, and social media content
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Ability to ensure consistent brand voice, style, and messaging across all platforms
  • Experience managing storytelling initiatives to strengthen brand identity and reputation
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers
  • Experience coordinating media inquiries, press events, and speaking engagements for leadership
  • Experience managing and optimizing website content, email marketing campaigns, and social media channels
  • Ability to leverage analytics to track engagement, measure campaign success, and refine digital strategies
  • Experience planning and managing marketing communications budgets, including effective allocation of funds
  • Experience partnering with leadership to plan and execute advertising and leverage data and analytics to maximize ROI
  • Experience overseeing conference event planning, coordination, stakeholder management, on-site execution, and post-event evaluation, reporting, and activation
  • Ability to provide writing and editing support for marketing pursuits and promotional needs
  • Ability to develop communication strategies that strengthen employee engagement and organizational culture
  • Experience supporting change management communications
  • Ability to prepare proactive communication strategies for potential issues and deliver timely responses during sensitive or high-profile situations
  • Familiarity with CRM software such as HubSpot and Salesforce
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital paid efforts (preferred but not mandatory)
  • HubSpot Academy and Google Analytics Certification (preferred)
  • Some travel required
