Job Description

The Project Manager Team Coordinator supports the Communications team by managing projects, coordinating schedules, organizing events, and facilitating internal and external communications to ensure efficient and effective team operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and track communication projects, events, and tasks
  • Coordinate and maintain team calendars and project management dashboards
  • Monitor deadlines, follow up on delegated tasks, and provide reminders
  • Support research, grantee communications, and website updates
  • Support internal communications and facilitate effective information exchange
  • Oversee production timelines for multimedia projects
  • Manage media lists, press tracking, and support PR outreach
  • Assist with social media planning and campaign alignment
  • Coordinate logistics for events, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Prepare for meetings and ensure team members are briefed and ready

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Three or more years of demonstrated experience managing projects and supporting the work of a team is also required.
  • Proficiency in IT programs and tools such as Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to work with staff across levels and build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, with the ability to track and update project progress in tools such as Asana.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofing, and grammar skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills requiring courtesy, tact, and diplomacy to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Solid research skills.
  • Detail-oriented and skillful project management skills, capable of taking projects from ideation to execution.
  • Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to operate with good judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, demonstrating good judgment.
  • Willingness to collaborate and be flexible to get the job done.
  • Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Availability to work extended hours for urgent issues or to meet deadlines.

Benefits & Perks

Salary range of $100,000 - $122,000
Work environment includes Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with some travel and extended hours as needed
