Job Description
A Material Handler - Sorter is responsible for removing recyclable materials from debris in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, assisting customers, and ensuring safety and efficiency in processing recyclables.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove recyclable materials from debris for processing
- Operate in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including lifting and standing
- Assist customers with unloading materials from vehicles
- Maintain safety protocols during all tasks
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
Requirements
- Ability to remove recyclable materials out of debris to be processed for recycling in a very fast paced work environment
- Physical ability to stand and lift throughout the entire shift in all weather conditions
- Willingness to interact well with customers and assist customers with unloading material from vehicles as allowed
- Trustworthy, reliable, and hardworking with the ability to take initiative and problem solve
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy recycling company
