Job Description

The Staff Training Program Manager at Aurora is responsible for designing, executing, and continuously improving operational training programs to ensure the workforce is prepared for commercial deployment, supporting the company's mission to advance self-driving technology and improve mobility safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize operational training programs from onboarding to advanced skill development.
  • Provide strategic direction and coaching to training instructors to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Manage scheduling, facilitation, logistics, and resource planning for multi-site training sessions.
  • Tailor training schedules and delivery to meet operational, customer, and third-party workforce needs.
  • Establish and maintain standardized training delivery processes for scalability and maturity.
  • Collect and analyze training performance data to drive improvements in readiness, proficiency, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training with product releases and operational processes.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience in program management or training management capacity.
  • Proven success leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
  • Track record of multi-functional leadership and excellent stakeholder management to drive rapid, effective execution across the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, collaboration, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex trade-offs and drive consensus on strategic decisions.
  • Advanced analytical skills and business acumen, using data to inform action.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for modeling and performance tracking.
  • High ownership mindset with a bias for action in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 25%, with occasional nights or weekends flexibility to support infrequent operational needs.

Base salary range: $112,000 - $162,000 per year
