Job Description
The Staff Security Software Engineer at Aurora is responsible for designing and implementing security validation and verification frameworks for autonomous vehicle systems, integrating with various onboard and offboard components, and ensuring the security and safety of self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement the Security Software Engineering Validation and Verification framework for onboard and offboard components of the autonomous vehicle solution.
- Integrate security systems with components such as Identity Activation System, Group Management System, Vehicle Secrets Gateway, Trusted Communications Modules, Aurora Control Interface modules, Primary Compute Platforms, Secure Boot, Remote Attestation Systems, and Credentialer.
- Develop and support security frameworks and monitoring systems using Golang and cloud technologies like Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Design and implement networking interactions with onboard components that have network interfaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or foreign degree equivalent acceptable, or any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with Software Engineering.
- Skills and experience involving general knowledge in creating and integrating cloud frameworks, build systems, and security with onboard systems.
- Expertise in Software Engineering to design a framework for other engineers to use and support.
- Proficiency in Golang with Go programming language experience and design.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring to design and implement monitoring systems for the framework and the build CI systems involved in deploying security services.
- Experience with interacting through onboard components that have a network interface.
- Primary coding language experience with Cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, and REST APIs for interacting with offboard components.

Base salary range: $275,000 - $352,000 per year
