Job Description

The role involves creating and editing compelling video content, including shooting, editing, motion graphics, and finishing, to support Aurora's brand and technological storytelling efforts in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and finalize video projects including promotional spots, case studies, product explainers, and social media assets.
  • Create 2D motion graphics, lower thirds, and title cards to enhance video content and explain technical concepts.
  • Handle color correction and sound mixing to meet brand standards.
  • Organize and maintain the video library, ensuring proper archiving and easy retrieval of footage.
  • Operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment for various shoots.
  • Direct subjects during shoots to achieve optimal performance and sound quality.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop treatments, storyboards, shotlists, and schedules.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in video production, with a specific emphasis on editing and post-production.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Proficiency in color grading using Premiere or DaVinci Resolve and audio mixing.
  • Demonstrated experience operating professional cameras such as RED, Sony FX series, and standard lighting and audio setups.
  • A strong portfolio reel demonstrating a range of editing styles and motion graphics abilities.
  • Ability to take ownership of video projects from ingest to final export, including cutting promotional spots, case studies, product explainers, and social media assets.
  • Create engaging 2D motion graphics, lower thirds, and title cards to elevate production value and explain complex technical concepts.
  • Handle color correction and sound mixing to ensure all deliverables meet Aurora’s high brand standards.
  • Organize and maintain a growing video library, ensuring projects are archived correctly and footage is easily retrievable.
  • Operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment for studio shoots, on-site interviews, and documentary-style b-roll.
  • Guide subjects to get the best performance and sound bites during shoots.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to create treatments, storyboards, shotlists, and schedules to ensure capturing exactly what is needed for the edit.
  • Ability to work autonomously on an edit while thriving in a collaborative creative environment.
  • Ability to switch quickly between different types of videos, such as polished case studies and fast-paced social media cuts.

Base salary range of $111,000 - $161,500 per year
