Job Description
A Licensed Project Surveyor responsible for managing survey projects, utilizing engineering software, and collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and efficient land surveying services across various development and energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers during proposal and project planning to establish scope, budgets, staffing, and schedules
- Ensure projects stay within scope and budget by monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete survey assignments on time and within standards
- Review and adjust survey field calculations
- Communicate effectively with internal staff, contractors, inspectors, and team leaders
Requirements
- The candidate must be a Licensed Project Surveyor (PLS) as this is a mandatory requirement for the role.
- The candidate must have an advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, and Plan interpretations, along with Real Estate Documents.
- Experience with FDOT projects is required.
- Prior experience working in the field on a survey crew is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and within prescribed standards and budgets is required.
- The candidate must have the ability to review survey field calculations and adjust as needed.
- Effective communication skills with internal staff, contractors, inspectors, and team leaders are required.
- The candidate must be willing to attend paid training and development events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Experience with Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center is highly preferred.
- Prior experience with AutoCAD 3D is highly preferred.
- The candidate must have a minimum of a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, as it is a required qualification.
