Job Description
This position involves collaborating with team members to design residential, commercial, and industrial site projects, including tasks such as site layout, utility design, stormwater management, permitting, and assisting with project development and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Design residential, commercial, and industrial site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Prepare conceptual site layouts, grading analyses, and site layout plans
- Develop and compute reports such as site analysis, utility calculations, stormwater management, and earthwork analysis
- Assist in producing final construction drawings and permit applications
- Support project managers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in client meetings, public hearings, and business development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 0-2 years related experience in engineering or a similar field.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to interact with a variety of people.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Availability to work nights and weekends to complete projects as necessary.
- Physical ability to frequently sit and talk or hear, and occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and stoop kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
