Job Description
This position involves collaborating with team members to design residential, commercial, and industrial site projects, including tasks such as site layout, utility design, stormwater management, permitting, and assisting with project and client coordination using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Key Responsibilities
- Design residential, commercial, and industrial site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Prepare conceptual site layouts, grading analyses, and site layout plans
- Conduct site analysis reports, utility computations, stormwater management, and earthwork analysis
- Assist in producing final construction drawings and permit applications
- Collaborate with project team members and other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Attend client and public meetings to communicate project details
- Support project managers and assist with client communication
- Participate in business development efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in site design, civil engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a variety of people.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Availability to work nights and weekends to complete projects as necessary.
- Physical ability to frequently sit and talk or hear, occasionally stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
