Job Description
The Associate Director at Atwell is a leadership role responsible for managing survey teams focused on land development or renewable energy projects, developing business relationships, overseeing operations, and ensuring operational excellence within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage business relationships with clients, land developers, general contractors, and architects
- Manage team operations, including setting objectives, business development, and ensuring project delivery
- Lead and develop survey teams focused on land development or renewable energy projects
- Oversee financial performance, including team utilization, invoicing, profitability, and contract management
- Support project managers with accounts receivable collections, change orders, and project profitability
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and communicate safety issues
- Recruit, onboard, and manage staff performance and development
- Communicate regularly with leadership and internal teams to align on project and operational goals
- Research and implement technology improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements
- Survey-focused Bachelor's Degree
- Professional Survey License required or in process
- At least 5 years of experience leading survey teams focused on Land Development or Renewable Energy
