Job Description
The role involves leading survey teams in land development or renewable energy projects, managing business operations, fostering client relationships, overseeing team performance, and ensuring operational excellence within a dynamic consulting, engineering, and construction services company.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage business relationships with clients, land developers, general contractors, and architects
- Manage team operations, including staffing, performance, and business planning
- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand client base and secure projects
- Manage financial goals, including team utilization, invoicing, profitability, and project financials
- Support project managers with accounts receivable collections, change orders, and invoicing
- Conduct risk management activities such as contract review and licensing compliance
- Oversee subcontractor invoicing and ensure project deadlines and commitments are met
- Research and implement technology improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Lead and communicate with staff, fostering a culture of excellence and open communication
- Recruit, onboard, and manage staff performance, including addressing performance issues
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained and communicated throughout the organization
Requirements
- Survey-focused Bachelor's Degree
- Professional Survey License required or in process
- At least 5 years of experience leading survey teams focused on Land Development or Renewable Energy
