Job Description

The Associate Project Manager supports land and right of way projects for an energy utility client, assisting with project planning, execution, land activities, client coordination, and business development, while gaining experience in project delivery and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project delivery by assisting with scope, schedule, staffing, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, analyze performance, and address risks or delays.
  • Coordinate land and ROW activities, including easements and related documentation.
  • Maintain organized project files and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assist in managing project financials, including budgets and invoicing.
  • Serve as a point of coordination between internal teams, subconsultants, and clients.
  • Help assemble and support project teams to ensure alignment and productivity.
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support proposal efforts, presentations, and client follow-ups.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Participate in professional development activities to expand technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Land Planning, Land Surveying, or related field
  • 4 years of experience in land, engineering, environmental, or project coordination roles
  • Experience with land and ROW projects, including easements, property rights, or acquisition support
  • Understanding of project lifecycle management, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams and with clients
  • Exposure to land and ROW projects, including easements, property rights, or acquisition support
  • Ability to support project delivery by assisting in implementing project plans, monitoring progress, analyzing performance, and addressing risks or delays
  • Ability to coordinate land and ROW activities including easements, rights of entry, surface agreements, and related documentation
  • Ability to assist in managing project financials, including budgets, invoicing, and tracking performance
  • Proficiency in maintaining organized project files and ensuring compliance with quality standards
  • Experience with tools such as Deltek Vision or similar project management systems (preferred)
  • Professional certifications such as AAPL, SR WA, PE, RLA, etc. (preferred)
