Job Description

A Sales Engineer in Germany responsible for increasing sales and customer engagement for power products, providing technical and commercial support, building customer relationships, and driving revenue growth through proactive sales activities and market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase and improve sales in the territory through customer engagement and account acquisition
  • Establish and maintain relationships with target accounts in engineering and commercial functions
  • Provide commercial and technical support to customers for Astrodyne TDI products
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for quotations, RFQs, and contracts
  • Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to develop proposals and responses to customer inquiries
  • Manage customer satisfaction and resolve concerns within existing accounts
  • Qualify, manage, and progress sales leads and prospects proactively
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to identify new target customers
  • Follow up on leads and maintain opportunity data in Salesforce.com
  • Travel extensively within the territory and occasionally outside Europe, including to the US

Requirements

  • Ability to travel to the US is essential.
  • Work out of a home office within the assigned region in Germany.
  • Experience with EMI and Power Electronics.
  • Demonstrates a consultative approach and ability to make recommendations to prospects with solutions that can meet their requirements.
  • Possesses the ability to influence and motivate other internal organizations to achieve solutions for customers and drive revenue growth.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English and German.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the territory with an established network of contacts in the Industrial, Medical, Aerospace, and Military markets.
  • Experience in sales of EMI Filters, Transformers, or Power Supplies.
  • Tenacity, skill, and a customer-focused attitude are most important.
  • The Sales Engineer must be able to travel extensively to accounts and prospective customers in order to drive additional new business.

Salary Range: 60,000-80,000
