Job Description

The role involves developing and executing marketing strategies to position Camus Energy as a leader in grid transformation solutions, focusing on brand building, content creation, campaign management, and industry engagement to support growth and industry impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a brand and content strategy to position Camus as a leader in grid transformation and flexibility.
  • Develop compelling product narratives that connect the software platform to industry trends and categories.
  • Manage and maintain the company's LinkedIn presence with regular posts and support team voices.
  • Plan, amplify, and leverage conference and event appearances to generate content and engagement.
  • Design and run targeted marketing campaigns for specific audience segments, utilizing content and distribution strategies.
  • Delegate tasks to agencies, freelancers, and AI tools to maximize marketing output and impact.
  • Establish relationships with media partners for paid and earned placements.
  • Collaborate with sales and policy teams to align marketing efforts with commercial and regulatory goals.

Requirements

  • Experience in building and executing a brand and content strategy that positions a company as a leading voice in transforming utility grid planning and operation to include flexibility as part of everyday grid management.
  • Ability to develop compelling product narratives that connect a software platform to the broader industry story, including growing a category and promoting a product.
  • Ownership of a LinkedIn presence with a cadence of 3 posts per week from the company page and support for individual team voices.
  • Experience managing marketing goals and budgets in partnership with finance teams.
  • Ability to measure marketing effectiveness to ensure efficiency, velocity, and impact across the marketing funnel.
  • Experience planning and amplifying memberships, conference, and event presence, turning appearances into content experiences.
  • Designing and running differentiated marketing campaigns that combine great content with smart distribution, tailored to specific audience segments such as utilities, data center developers, and regulators.
  • Delegating marketing tasks effectively to agencies, freelancers, and AI tools to maximize output and impact with limited resources.
  • Establishing relationships with key media partners for paid and earned placement.
  • Collaborating with sales and policy teams to ensure marketing supports near-term commercial goals and long-term regulatory positioning.
  • Expert-level brand and content skills with a strong writing ability to translate complex, technical topics into resonant narratives for executives, engineers, and policymakers.
  • Deep product marketing knowledge, including positioning a product within a broader market narrative, crafting compelling product stories, and creating content that moves prospects through a funnel, especially when the product is a category-defining concept rather than just software.
  • Ability to move fast with strategic direction, executing quickly and adapting as needed.
  • Channel-first thinking, designing content for specific audiences across conferences, LinkedIn, trade publications, regulatory proceedings, and podcasts, then reusing content effectively.
  • Comfort working as a one-person team, with the ability to achieve outsized results through smart delegation to agencies, contractors, and AI tools.
  • Experience or aptitude in designing and using AI tools and systems across content creation, campaign design, analytics, and workflow automation, with a bias toward integrating AI into marketing work.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive as the first or only marketer in a role.
  • Preferred but not mandatory: experience marketing to utilities, energy companies, or data center operators, growth marketing tailored to niche B2B audiences, and familiarity with the energy transition or climate tech space.
