Job Description
The Procurement Associate Logistics is responsible for coordinating and tracking shipments, managing inventory, negotiating logistics services, and analyzing performance data to support renewable energy projects and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery according to OEM specifications.
- Monitor, maintain, and audit inventory to support accurate reporting, storage, and OEM-compliant maintenance.
- Manage RFP process for transportation, warehousing, and logistics services to align with project requirements and budgets.
- Analyze logistics performance data and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Forecast storage and transportation costs to support project planning and decision-making.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Negotiate commercial terms with logistics service providers for transportation and warehousing.
- Develop and manage logistics documentation, including Bills of Lading, OEM specifications, and delivery forecasts.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, supply chain or a business discipline from an accredited institution.
- 1-5 years of sourcing procurement experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
- Ability and willingness to travel 50%.
