The Procurement Associate Ops supports strategic sourcing and vendor management for renewable energy projects, focusing on solar, high voltage, and energy storage solutions, to help advance sustainable energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and process procurement documentation such as pre-qualifications, W9s, banking information, and vendor setup.
Administer and support the competitive bidding process through RFPs and RFQs.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for PV, HV, and BESS EPCs for new-build and repower projects.
Conduct supplier bid reviews and performance evaluations to assess risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain vendor relationships.
Interface with contractors to gather market intelligence on trends, tariffs, and policies.
Qualify and evaluate suppliers of services.
Support commercial negotiations with the Contracts team.
Develop, communicate, and enforce procurement policies and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Business Analytics, or equivalent Business discipline.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers and vendors.
Able to perform and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Self-directed with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Proficient with Microsoft Products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
Experience or willingness to learn a CRM software.
Maintain and process documentation including Pre qualifications, W9s, banking Information, Vendor Setup in Gatekeeper, etc.
Administer and support execution of the competitive bid process via Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Quotes (RFQ) as needed.
Support development and implementation of a sourcing strategy focused on PV, HV, and BESS EPCs for both new-build and repower projects.
Conduct supplier bid review and supplier performance reviews to assess contractor risks and opportunities and recommend strategies to strengthen contractor selection.
Collaborate with CAM, Engineering, Development, and Construction to establish and maintain lines of contact in a cross-functional work environment.
Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential vendors.
Interface with EPC, O&M, and other services contractors to gather and analyze market intelligence on emerging trends, tariff impacts, and legislative or policy changes that may influence the bidding process and project schedule.
Responsible for the qualification and evaluation process for suppliers of services.
Support commercial negotiations with the Contracts team.
Develop, communicate, and enforce procurement policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
