Job Description
A Tax Manager role within a dynamic, fast-growing CPA and advisory firm, responsible for helping clients maximize their opportunities through tax planning and consulting, while contributing to a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee client tax planning and compliance for private clients
- Identify and implement tax-saving strategies for clients
- Coordinate with clients and team members to ensure accurate and timely tax filings
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, with a focus on private client services, including experience in managing tax engagements and providing tax planning and compliance services.
- Hold a valid CPA license or equivalent certification recognized in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to private clients.
- Have proven experience in managing and leading a team of tax professionals, including mentoring and reviewing work performed by team members.
- Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Be capable of preparing, reviewing, and analyzing complex tax returns and related documentation for high-net-worth individuals and private clients.
- Have the ability to identify tax planning opportunities and advise clients on strategies to minimize tax liabilities within legal frameworks.
- Demonstrate proficiency with tax software and related technology tools used for tax preparation, planning, and compliance.
- Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a master’s degree or additional certifications (such as EA, MST) are preferred.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Be willing to work full-time, with the flexibility to adapt to client needs and deadlines.
