A Tax Manager at Aprio will lead client engagement strategies, attend client meetings and networking events, and develop tax-saving solutions for clients within a fast-growing CPA and advisory firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients in developing and implementing tax strategies to reduce tax liabilities
Attend and participate in client functions, conferences, and meetings to build relationships
Network with NY-based clients to foster business development
Provide tax planning and compliance services for clients
Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client service
Requirements
Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role within a CPA or advisory firm.
Have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations applicable to clients, including developing and implementing strategies to reduce clients' tax liabilities.
Be able to attend client functions, conferences, and in-person client meetings in NY to network and build relationships with NY-based clients.
Possess a CPA license or equivalent professional certification.
Demonstrate exceptional client service skills and the ability to develop and execute strategic tax planning strategies.
Have experience working with fast-growing industries and providing strategic tax advice tailored to such industries.
Be capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively network and build client relationships.
Be willing to travel locally to attend client functions, conferences, and meetings in NY as required.
Have a proven track record of managing multiple client engagements and delivering results within deadlines.
Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail to develop accurate tax strategies and ensure compliance.
