A Senior Tax Manager role at a leading CPA and advisory firm responsible for managing client tax strategies, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic tax planning within a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee complex tax engagements for clients.
Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Supervise and mentor junior staff and team members.
Develop and implement tax strategies to maximize client opportunities.
Review and approve tax returns and related documentation.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior management role within a CPA or advisory firm.
Proven expertise in enterprise tax, including experience working with fast-growing industries and complex tax issues.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations relevant to enterprise clients.
Ability to lead and manage tax engagements, including planning, compliance, and consulting for corporate clients.
Experience in managing and developing a team of tax professionals.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new client opportunities, including incentive compensation related to origination of new client sales.
Ability to work in a flexible working environment, including remote and hybrid options.
Willingness to participate in firm’s CPA support and tuition assistance programs, and to obtain or maintain CPA licensure if not already held.
