Job Description
The Tax Director - Restaurant, Franchise Hospitality role involves leading tax strategies and advising clients within the restaurant and franchise hospitality industry, contributing to a fast-growing, innovative CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage tax planning and compliance for restaurant and franchise hospitality clients.
- Provide strategic tax advice to optimize clients' tax positions and opportunities.
- Oversee and review complex tax returns and related documentation for clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand their business needs.
- Stay current with industry-specific tax laws and regulations affecting hospitality and franchise businesses.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in tax, with specific experience in the restaurant and franchise hospitality industry.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws applicable to the restaurant and franchise hospitality sectors.
- Have a proven track record of leading and managing tax engagements and teams within a CPA or advisory firm environment.
- Hold a CPA license or equivalent professional certification.
- Show experience in advising clients on complex tax planning, compliance, and consulting related to restaurant and franchise hospitality businesses.
- Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and apply tax regulations to client situations.
- Have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Be capable of developing and implementing tax strategies tailored to the restaurant and franchise hospitality industry.
- Demonstrate the ability to originate new client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
- Be willing to work in a flexible working environment, including remote and hybrid options.
