Job Description
The Tax Director of Construction Services will lead and manage tax engagements for clients in the construction industry, providing strategic tax planning, compliance, and consulting to help clients maximize profitability, manage risk, and support growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage tax engagements for clients in the construction industry.
- Provide proactive tax planning, compliance, and consulting services to clients.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership and executive teams.
- Manage client relationships and oversee staff development.
- Contribute to business development initiatives within the firm.
Requirements
- Lead and manage tax engagements for clients in the construction industry, including general contractors, subcontractors, developers, and homebuilders.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership and executive teams by providing proactive tax planning, compliance, and consulting services.
- Provide services that help clients maximize profitability, manage risk, and plan for growth.
- Work closely with the Construction Segment Leader and firm partners to manage client relationships.
- Oversee staff development related to construction tax services.
- Contribute to business development initiatives within the firm.
- Possess a CPA license or equivalent professional certification.
- Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in tax services, specifically with construction industry clients preferred.
- Demonstrate expertise in tax planning, compliance, and consulting for the construction industry.
- Have strong leadership skills to manage and lead tax engagements and staff.
- Possess excellent communication skills to serve as a strategic advisor to clients and internal teams.
- Be able to work in a collaborative environment with a high-energy, ambitious team.
- Be willing to work in a flexible work environment, including remote and hybrid options.
