Job Description
The Tax Director for Construction Industry at Aprio leads and manages tax engagements for construction clients, providing strategic tax planning, compliance, and consulting services to help clients maximize profitability and manage risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage tax engagements for clients in the construction industry, including general contractors, subcontractors, developers, and homebuilders.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership and executive teams, providing proactive tax planning, compliance, and consulting services.
- Work closely with the Construction Segment Leader and firm partners to manage client relationships.
- Oversee staff development related to construction tax services.
Requirements
- Lead and manage tax engagements for clients in the construction industry, including general contractors, subcontractors, developers, and homebuilders.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership and executive teams, providing proactive tax planning, compliance, and consulting services.
- Work closely with the Construction Segment Leader and firm partners to manage client relationships.
- Oversee staff development related to construction tax services.
- Contribute to business development initiatives within the construction industry.
- Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in tax services, with specific experience in the construction industry preferred.
- Have a CPA license or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of tax planning, compliance, and consulting services relevant to the construction industry.
- Be able to serve as a strategic advisor to clients' ownership and executive teams.
- Possess excellent communication and relationship management skills to work with clients and internal teams.
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
