Job Description
A Senior Tax Manager role responsible for leading tax strategies and client opportunities within a fast-growing, innovative CPA and advisory firm, focusing on the restaurant, franchise, and hospitality industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee complex tax planning and compliance for clients in the restaurant and franchise hospitality industry.
- Identify and implement tax strategies to maximize client opportunities and minimize liabilities.
- Lead and review tax return preparation and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and team members on tax issues and projects.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and industry developments relevant to clients.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior role within a public accounting or CPA firm setting.
- Have a CPA license or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations relevant to the restaurant, franchise, and hospitality industries.
- Proven ability to manage and review complex tax returns and planning for clients in the hospitality sector.
- Experience in providing tax consulting and advisory services to clients, including planning, compliance, and strategy.
- Ability to lead and develop a team of tax professionals, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Experience with tax software and technology tools relevant to tax preparation and planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
