Job Description
A Senior Tax Manager in Partner Services at Aprio will lead tax strategies and client relationships, providing expert guidance on tax planning and compliance for fast-growing industries within a dynamic, growth-oriented CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee partner services related to tax compliance and planning.
- Collaborate with clients to develop tax strategies that maximize opportunities.
- Lead and review complex tax returns and advisory projects for clients.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and team members.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax services, including managing complex tax engagements and leading client relationships.
- Have a CPA license or equivalent certification recognized in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations applicable to various industries.
- Show proven ability to oversee and review tax planning, compliance, and consulting projects for diverse clients.
- Possess excellent leadership and team management skills to supervise and mentor junior staff and team members.
- Have experience in managing multiple client accounts simultaneously while ensuring quality and deadlines are met.
- Be capable of developing and implementing tax strategies that align with clients' business goals and compliance requirements.
- Possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and regulatory authorities.
- Have a thorough understanding of the use of tax software and technology tools relevant to tax preparation and planning.
- Be able to work in a flexible working environment, including remote and hybrid work arrangements.
- Meet the educational requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
