Job Description
A Senior Tax Manager role focused on providing tax planning and advisory services to clients within the manufacturing, international, and technology sectors, working for a fast-growing, innovative CPA and advisory firm. The position involves leading client engagements, fostering growth, and contributing to the firm's strategic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee client tax planning and compliance for manufacturing, international, and technology industries.
- Lead and review complex tax returns and related documentation.
- Provide strategic tax advice to clients to optimize their tax positions.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and team members on tax projects.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations affecting clients' industries and advise accordingly.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on manufacturing, international, or technology industries.
- Have a CPA license or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations relevant to manufacturing, international, and technology sectors.
- Have experience managing and leading tax planning, compliance, and consulting projects for clients in fast-growing industries.
- Show ability to work with a team of professionals in a collaborative environment and provide mentorship to junior staff.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop strategic tax solutions.
- Be able to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients and team members.
- Have a proven track record of developing and maintaining client relationships and generating new client sales.
- Be willing to work in a flexible environment, including remote and hybrid work arrangements.
- Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
