Job Description
A Senior Tax Associate in Mergers and Acquisitions at Aprio is responsible for providing specialized tax services related to mergers and acquisitions, helping clients maximize opportunities through strategic tax planning and advisory within a dynamic, growth-oriented firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with mergers and acquisitions tax strategies
- Prepare and review tax returns related to mergers and acquisitions
- Provide tax planning and advisory services for fast-growing industries
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax, specifically in mergers and acquisitions.
- Proven expertise in federal and state tax compliance and planning related to mergers and acquisitions.
- Ability to prepare and review complex tax returns and related documentation for mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations applicable to mergers and acquisitions.
- Experience working with clients on tax strategies to maximize opportunities in mergers and acquisitions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and address tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions.
- Experience with tax research and staying current with changes in tax laws affecting mergers and acquisitions.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
