Job Description
A Senior Tax Associate at Aprio will work with middle to large-sized clients in the manufacturing and international technology sectors, providing tax services, building client relationships, and supporting growth and innovation within a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with tax planning and compliance for manufacturing and international technology industries.
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for middle to large-sized clients.
- Research complex tax issues and provide strategic tax advice to clients.
- Identify tax savings opportunities and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality tax services and support client relationships.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax, preferably with middle to large-sized tax clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.
- Ability to identify tax planning opportunities and advise clients accordingly.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product.
- Willingness to stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations through continuing education.
- Physical ability to perform work at a desk, including sitting for extended periods and using a computer.
