Job Description
A Senior Audit Associate at Aprio will work within the assurance team to perform audit and consulting services for clients, helping them maximize opportunities while contributing to a dynamic, growth-oriented CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting audits of client financial statements in compliance with applicable standards
- Identify and evaluate internal controls and assess risk areas
- Prepare audit documentation and workpapers to support audit findings
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and team members
- Support senior team members in planning and executing audit engagements
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a related field, with a focus on audit services.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active CPA license or eligibility to obtain CPA licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Proficiency in auditing standards and procedures, including experience with planning, executing, and completing audits.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and identify audit issues and risks.
- Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Physical ability to perform work at client sites, including sitting, standing, and using standard office equipment as required.
