Job Description
The Senior Assurance Manager in the Professional Practice Group oversees the firm's assurance quality control processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement in assurance practices within a fast-growing CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the firm's assurance quality control processes
- Ensure assurance services comply with regulatory standards and technical requirements
- Lead initiatives to strengthen the firm's quality control framework
- Support engagement teams in maintaining compliance with quality standards
- Drive continuous improvement in assurance practices
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in assurance, quality control, or related fields within a CPA or advisory firm.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance, technical standards, and risk management related to assurance services.
- Proven ability to oversee and lead initiatives to strengthen the firm’s assurance quality control framework.
- Experience supporting engagement teams in maintaining compliance with assurance standards and regulations.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in assurance practices and quality control processes.
- Strong knowledge of professional standards and regulatory requirements applicable to assurance services.
- Excellent leadership skills to oversee assurance quality control processes across multiple teams or locations.
- Effective communication skills to support and guide assurance team members and engagement teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or equivalent professional credential is required.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including working in an office environment and possibly supporting remote or hybrid work arrangements.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (implied by the location and firm’s operations).
