Job Description
The Director, Customs Tariffs at Aprio will lead and manage customs tariff strategies, helping clients optimize their import/export operations and navigate international trade regulations within a fast-growing, innovative CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on customs tariffs and related compliance issues
- Analyze and interpret customs regulations and tariff classifications
- Develop strategies to optimize clients' customs duties and import/export processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in customs tariffs, international trade, or related areas.
- Proven expertise in customs tariffs and international trade regulations.
- Experience working with a CPA or advisory firm is preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. customs laws, tariffs, and trade compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex trade and tariff data.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated leadership skills suitable for a director-level position.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies related to tariffs and customs compliance.
- Experience in managing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities related to customs tariffs.
- Knowledge of international trade policies and procedures.
