Job Description

The Audit Manager at Aprio leads and manages audit engagements for private and closely-held companies, providing assurance services, financial statement analysis, and building trusted client relationships to support sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee audit engagements for private and closely-held companies
  • Ensure compliance with PCAOB standards and professional regulations
  • Prepare and review financial statements to provide accurate information for stakeholders
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients through clear communication
  • Identify and minimize audit risks during the audit process
  • Lead and coordinate audit teams to ensure efficient and effective execution of audits

Requirements

  • Possess a CPA license or equivalent certification required for the audit manager role.
  • Have experience working as an audit manager or in a similar senior audit role with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate experience working with private and closely-held companies, providing precise financial statements to manage business relationships effectively.
  • Have a thorough understanding of assurance services and audit processes, adhering to the highest professional standards as a registered member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
  • Possess strong communication skills to build trusted relationships and ensure clear communication throughout the audit process.
  • Be able to work efficiently and effectively to make the audit experience effortless for clients and stakeholders.
  • Have the ability to lead and manage audit teams, ensuring compliance with professional standards and quality control procedures.
  • Be familiar with the regulatory environment related to PCAOB standards and other relevant auditing standards.
  • Possess the ability to analyze financial statements and provide financial insight to clients and stakeholders.
  • Be capable of managing multiple audit engagements simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Have a commitment to professional development and continuous learning to stay current with industry standards and regulations.
