Job Description
The Audit Manager at Aprio will lead and oversee audit engagements for private and closely-held companies, ensuring high-quality assurance services, building trusted client relationships, and supporting the firm's growth and innovation in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee financial statement audits for private and closely-held companies.
- Ensure compliance with PCAOB standards and professional regulations during audit processes.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate audit findings clearly and efficiently to clients and team members.
- Identify and address audit risks to minimize client and firm exposure.
- Lead and supervise audit teams to ensure quality and timely completion of engagements.
- Provide personalized audit expertise and financial insights to clients.
- Support continuous improvement of audit procedures and firm standards.
Requirements
- Possess a CPA license or equivalent certification, with experience in audit management.
- Have experience working with private and closely-held companies, providing assurance and audit services.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a related field, with a focus on audit and assurance services.
- Demonstrate knowledge of PCAOB standards and adherence to the highest professional standards in audit practices.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders through clear communication and personalized audit expertise.
- Experience leading or managing audit teams and overseeing the audit process from planning to completion.
- Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and the ability to provide accurate and precise financial information.
- Ability to minimize risk and provide peace of mind to key lenders and stakeholders through effective audit procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate clear and efficient communication throughout the audit process.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to changing client needs and regulatory standards.
