The Audit Manager at Aprio is responsible for leading and executing audit engagements for private and closely-held companies, providing assurance services, and delivering financial insights to clients to support sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee audit engagements for private and closely-held companies
Ensure compliance with PCAOB standards and professional regulations
Prepare and review financial statements to provide accurate information for clients
Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders
Communicate audit findings clearly and efficiently throughout the audit process
Requirements
Possess a CPA license or equivalent certification, as the role involves assurance services and adherence to professional standards.
Have experience working as an Audit Manager or in a similar managerial role within an accounting or auditing firm.
Demonstrate knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, including those set by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
Have experience providing assurance services, including audits of private and closely-held companies.
Possess strong communication skills for building trusted relationships and clear communication throughout the audit process.
Be able to adhere to the highest professional standards required for PCAOB-registered firms.
Have the ability to manage and oversee the audit process efficiently, ensuring a smooth and effective audit experience for clients.
Possess a minimum of several years of relevant experience in auditing or assurance services, with specific experience in managing audit teams and engagements.
Be capable of working in a collaborative environment with high-energy, passionate, and ambitious team members.
Have a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, with an interest in advancing into management or leadership roles.
