Job Description
A leadership role overseeing the design of enterprise SaaS products at Amperity, focusing on creating intuitive user experiences for complex data workflows, mentoring a design team, and integrating AI into the design process to enhance platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish operational objectives, work plans, policies, and practices for major design initiatives in collaboration with Product Management and Engineering leadership
- Design and deliver world-class features for the platform, shaping its strategic direction
- Mentor and coach a team of senior designers to improve design skills, mindset, and consistency
- Oversee the evolution of the Figma Design Library, incorporating AI advancements
- Contribute to the implementation of the front-end component library to ensure design consistency
- Lead design sprints, workshops, and critique sessions to align stakeholders around user-centric solutions
- Integrate AI into the design process to increase team velocity while maintaining human oversight
Requirements
- 8 years of experience designing complex web-based applications from concept to launch.
- Enterprise Mastery experience navigating the complexities of enterprise-level product design, including data-heavy workflows and multi-persona ecosystems.
- Experience developing AI and AI Native applications, including the ability to do rapid prototyping and iterate with customers.
- Use data and research to influence product roadmap goals, demonstrating strategic empathy.
- Expertise in explaining the why behind design decisions to executive partners, engineering leads, and customers, demonstrating communication excellence.
- Ability to create clarity out of chaos and define the path forward for projects, demonstrating ownership of ambiguity.
- Proficiency in Figma and a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and component libraries, viewing code as part of the design process.
- Background in designing and producing SaaS products with an emphasis on data-visualization tools or web-based marketing tools.

Compensation/salary range: 178,000-240,000 USD base salary, with cash incentives and stock options
