Job Description

The Lead Product Manager - Core Platform at Amperity is responsible for defining and executing the multi-quarter strategy for the company's foundational data infrastructure, including data ingestion, transformation, identity resolution, and developer tools, to support scalable, reliable, and secure customer data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision and multi-quarter roadmap for the Core Platform, including data ingestion, transformation pipelines, identity resolution, and developer tooling.
  • Manage platform scalability, reliability, and performance to handle enterprise-scale data volumes.
  • Collaborate with teams to grow and support Data Lakehouse integrations with partners like Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Ensure platform security, governance, and compliance in coordination with sales and customer teams.
  • Champion the developer and operator experience by improving tools, APIs, and workflows.
  • Partner with AI/ML teams to enhance the platform's capabilities for identity resolution, predictive analytics, and generative AI.
  • Maintain and optimize connectors for upstream and downstream data partners to ensure ecosystem connectivity.
  • Translate technical platform features into customer value and revenue opportunities.
  • Guide multiple projects simultaneously, unblocking teams and raising overall productivity.
  • Mentor other product managers and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Requirements

  • 12 years of product management experience, with at least 4 years focused on data platform products.
  • Deep technical fluency in discussing distributed systems, data pipelines, cloud architecture, SQL, and ML infrastructure, with the ability to go deep or stay at the right altitude.
  • Experience with shipping platform products at scale, including building and evolving platforms that other products and teams depend on, and understanding platform product management adoption, migration, backward compatibility, and internal customers.
  • Customer data or martech domain experience, including familiarity with CDPs, identity resolution, ETL, reverse ETL, or marketing data ecosystems.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including distilling technical concepts for executive, commercial, and technical audiences, and building agreement among diverse partners.
  • Ability to set a vision and write clear requirements, evaluate bugs, and unblock the team in day-to-day work.
  • Location in Seattle, WA, with the ability to work in a hybrid model including three days in the office each week.
