Job Description
A full-stack Software Engineer II role focused on developing and supporting features for AlertMedia's emergency communication platform, with an emphasis on front-end development using React and Next.js, and collaboration across technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for the AlertMedia product suite
- Learn and understand the AlertMedia platform, tools, and customer use cases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies and tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack
- Contribute to innovative development and suggest new ideas leveraging technology in the product line
Requirements
- Must have full-stack experience with a focus on front-end development and be recognized for delivering performant user interfaces.
- Deep JavaScript experience, ideally using React and Next.js.
- Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or a related field preferred.
- 4-5 years of experience building scalable applications with modern frameworks, such as JavaScript React, Next.js, Node, Python, and Django tech stacks.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is required.
- Development experience with Postgres and Redis.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn from colleagues with varying levels of experience.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
- This position is preferred to be hybrid, requiring 1-2 days a week in the Reforma area of Mexico City, but fully remote candidates in Mexico will also be considered.
