Job Description
The role involves leading cross-team technical programs to ensure the reliable operation and integration of partner-facing systems within Alarm.com's cloud platform, focusing on program leadership, technical alignment, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to drive partner success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-team engineering programs to deliver partner-facing capabilities and operational improvements
- Translate partner requirements into technical plans and coordinate dependencies across teams
- Define monitoring, alerting, and operational metrics for partner health and success
- Align engineering, product, support, and operations teams around shared partner outcomes
- Manage program execution, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication to ensure timely delivery
Requirements
- Typically 5-10 years of experience in technical program management or engineering roles working on complex distributed systems.
- Proven ability to lead multi-team programs with evolving requirements.
- Strong understanding of APIs, event flows, data models, and system interactions.
- Strong communication, planning, documentation, and stakeholder alignment skills.
- Ability to drive alignment and clarity across engineering, product, operations, and support teams.
- Willingness to travel 20-25%.
- Experience working with SaaS partners, enterprise integrations, IoT systems, or large-scale distributed platforms (preferred).
- Experience with observability, operational readiness, and incident management practices (preferred).
- Experience helping shape new processes or operating models in a growing organization (preferred).
- Experience making priority and sequencing decisions under time constraints while safeguarding long-term architecture integrity (preferred).
