Job Description

The Portfolio Services Manager at Nexamp oversees the independent engineering review process for solar and storage projects, managing technical and financial due diligence, project documentation, and stakeholder communication to support project financing and development in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Independent Engineer (IE) due-diligence process and critical deliverables for solar and storage projects.
  • Coordinate internal resources and act as the primary liaison between IEs and internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality IE reviews.
  • Facilitate the exchange of project information and documentation to support IE due diligence and manage IE deliverables in line with financing schedules.
  • Monitor and prepare for project milestones, coordinating third-party certifications to meet financing requirements.
  • Organize and perform quality control on project documents and design reviews.
  • Support risk management processes related to IE due diligence and project development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience in technical and financial due diligence for renewable energy projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management, risk identification and mitigation, handling complex data sets and documentation, and prioritizing key priorities and outcomes.
  • Experience managing the Independent Engineer (IE) review process, including managing IE contracts and coordinating internal resources to ensure high-quality, timely IE deliverables that support financing stakeholders.
  • Ability to act as the primary liaison between Independent Engineers (IEs) and internal teams, including interpreting technical feedback and resolving conflicting inputs in a timely manner.
  • Experience facilitating the exchange of project information and documentation in support of IE due diligence reviews, including managing IE deliverables reports, certificates, and other documentation in alignment with financing schedules.
  • Experience monitoring and preparing for critical project milestones such as mechanical completion (MC) and substantial completion (SC), and coordinating required third-party certifications to meet financing milestones or requirements.
  • Experience leading the organization and quality control of project documents and design reviews.
  • Ability to support risk management processes and standards related to IE due diligence.
  • Experience managing high volumes of project data, including contracts, design documents, PVsyst reports, site visits, construction monitoring, commissioning tests, and performance analysis of operating assets.
  • Strong project management skills, including managing critical paths, navigating scopes of work, and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying technical and project information to internal teams and external reviewers.
  • Ability to support workflow evolution with adaptation to AI tools, project management software, etc.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Experience building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions.
