Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer at Alarm.com develops full-stack software solutions for smart home security systems, working across various technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate and deploy new IoT and SaaS products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack software for various platforms and technologies.
- Participate in the entire project lifecycle, from requirements to deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners on product development.
- Research, evaluate, and apply new technologies and methodologies to solve project challenges.
- Exercise good judgment to determine when to implement quick solutions versus robust, scalable ones.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience leading and mentoring other engineers.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience with database design and development.
