Job Description
A senior engineering leadership role responsible for managing multiple software delivery teams focused on partner platform capabilities and device ecosystem modernization, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-quality systems while guiding technical strategy and team growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage two delivery teams supporting strategic partner platforms and device platform capabilities.
- Coordinate staffing, prioritization, and execution across multiple workstreams and domains.
- Collaborate with architects and technical leaders on platform architecture, APIs, event-driven systems, and modernization efforts.
- Establish team structures, operating rhythms, and delivery practices to support current and future scaling.
- Ensure systems are production-ready, observable, supportable, and reliable for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align technical execution with business, customer, and partner outcomes.
- Drive complex initiatives with dependencies and shared ownership across teams, reducing one-off work through repeatable patterns.
- Support hiring, team growth, and organizational planning to enhance technical depth and long-term health.
- Set standards and norms for responsible AI-assisted engineering, including validation, review, and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of software engineering experience, including significant experience leading engineering teams.
- Experience managing backend or platform-oriented software engineers across multiple workstreams, priorities, or domains.
- Demonstrated success supporting engineers across a wide range of experience levels, including newer engineers and experienced technical leaders.
- Strong technical foundation in backend or platform engineering, including APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience driving delivery and organizational coordination across Product, Architecture, Quality Engineering (QE), Operations, and other engineering teams.
- Experience establishing or improving engineering processes related to planning, execution, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment with AI-assisted workflows and to hold teams to clear standards for validation, review quality, and responsible usage.
- Experience leading multiple engineering workstreams, delivery teams, or closely related team scopes in a platform or infrastructure-oriented environment.
- Practical leadership style that combines organizational clarity, accountability, and strong support for engineers at different career stages.
- Good judgment in balancing near-term execution needs with long-term platform quality, maintainability, and architectural direction.
- Operational excellence orientation, including observability, supportability, incident readiness, and production quality.
- Credibility working with architects, senior engineers, and cross-functional leaders on technically complex initiatives.
- Clear, positive buy-in toward AI-assisted development as an expected part of modern engineering work.
- Practical familiarity with AI-assisted workflows and tools, including evaluating where AI can accelerate drafting, debugging, planning, or implementation work and where stronger design checkpoints, review discipline, or human judgment are required.

Base salary range of $190,000 to $210,000 USD
