Job Description
The Senior Accountant with a revenue focus will manage revenue-related accounting operations, ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the company's financial reporting and process improvements in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries for deferred revenue, accounts receivable adjustments, and contractual incentives
- Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and flux analysis for revenue-related accounts
- Assist in preparing SEC reporting schedules and revenue disclosures for filings
- Support quarterly and annual audits with documentation and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and SOX control requirements
- Partner with Finance Systems to enhance ERP and revenue automation tools
- Identify process improvement opportunities in the order-to-cash cycle
- Collaborate with Sales Ops, Legal, FP&A, and Customer Success to resolve revenue issues and ensure contract compliance
- Lead or participate in ad hoc projects and support other accounting areas as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in revenue accounting or public accounting for technology clients.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel pivot tables, complex formulas, and data modeling.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
