Job Description

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for enhancing and managing the security of cloud environments across AWS, GCP, and Azure by implementing security tools, monitoring compliance, and collaborating with teams to integrate security into development processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance security of cloud environments across AWS, GCP, and Azure by identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage cloud-native security tools and platforms such as CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, CASB, and CIEM.
  • Lead network security initiatives focusing on Cisco technologies like FirePower, ASA, ISE, Umbrella, and Stealthwatch.
  • Utilize the Wiz tool for cloud security posture management, vulnerability detection, and compliance monitoring.
  • Implement and manage security policies, firewall configurations, and network segmentation strategies.
  • Oversee deployment and security of F5 technologies and WAF at the edge.
  • Develop and execute DDoS protection strategies.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
  • Evaluate, review, and deploy security solutions, including cloud security platforms and enhancements.
  • Monitor and maintain the organization’s security posture in collaboration with engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Experience in cloud security or engineering in public cloud providers AWS, GCP, and Azure, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with evaluating, reviewing, and deploying cloud native security tools in AWS and Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, configuring rules, and enforcement using cloud security platforms such as CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, CASB, and CIEM.
  • Experience leading network security initiatives with a primary focus on Cisco technologies including FirePower, ASA, ISE, Umbrella, and Stealthwatch.
  • Utilization of the Wiz tool for cloud security posture management, including configuration analysis, vulnerability detection, and compliance monitoring.
  • Experience in selecting and acquiring additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.
  • Ability to determine, monitor, and maintain the organization’s security posture in collaboration with Engineering teams.
  • Experience overseeing and managing the deployment, integration, and configuration of security solutions and security documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security into all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to implement and manage security policies, firewall configurations, and network segmentation strategies.
  • Experience overseeing the deployment and security of F5 technologies and WAF at the edge.
  • Experience developing and implementing DDoS protection strategies.
  • Ability to recommend actions and practices to management to ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience suggesting risk mitigation strategies for activities that potentially impact security of existing IT and information management.
  • Ability to craft responses to client and partner security questionnaires.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a similar engineering program with strong academic performance.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, OSCP, AWS Security, Cisco CCNP Security are preferred; at minimum, candidates should hold relevant security certifications.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform security reviews of cloud application designs, source code, and deployments.
  • Knowledge of the latest cloud security advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for a highly collaborative environment.
  • Rigorous attention to detail and focus on the quality of deliverables.
  • Expertise in AWS services such as EC2, ECS, WAF, VPC configuration, IAM rules, and familiarity with cloud security platforms like CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, CASB, and CIEM.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency with Python and the ability to read Java, with an emphasis on cloud security scripting and automation.
  • Proven team experience and comfort working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Passion for working with cloud technology and creating high-quality, secure consumer technology products.
