A Photonics Test Development Engineer is responsible for developing and testing photonics components and systems, supporting the advancement of LiDAR technology used in autonomous vehicles and robotics.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement testing procedures for photonics components and systems.
Design and optimize test setups and fixtures for photonics devices.
Analyze test data to ensure product performance and quality standards are met.
Requirements
Experience in photonics test development, including designing, developing, and executing tests for photonics components or systems.
Proficiency in testing silicon photonics chips or similar photonics components used in LiDAR or related sensing technologies.
Ability to develop and implement test procedures and protocols for photonics devices and modules.
Experience working with LiDAR technology, sensing, or perception systems is preferred.
Strong understanding of optical testing techniques, measurement equipment, and data analysis related to photonics components.
Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, or a related technical field.
Demonstrated experience in a role involving photonics or optical component testing for at least 2 years.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to photonics testing and measurement setups.
Experience with automation of testing processes and data collection is preferred.
Excellent documentation skills for recording test procedures, results, and analysis.
