Job Description
Aeva is seeking a senior Staff Optical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced optical components and systems for their innovative LiDAR technology, supporting applications in autonomous driving, robotics, and other fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and validation of advanced optical sub-components and systems for LiDAR technology
- Set technical direction for optical engineering projects
- Mentor junior optical engineers and team members
- Influence architectural decisions across multiple programs
Requirements
- Experience in the design, development, and validation of advanced optical sub-components and systems, specifically related to coherent LiDAR technology.
- Ability to lead the design, development, and validation of optical components and systems that form the core of LiDAR technology.
- Experience in setting technical direction for optical engineering projects.
- Mentoring skills to guide junior engineers in optical engineering tasks.
- Influence architectural decisions across multiple programs related to optical systems.
