Job Description
Aeva is seeking a senior Staff Optical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced optical components and systems for their innovative LiDAR technology, supporting autonomous and perception applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and validation of advanced optical sub-components and systems for LiDAR technology
- Set technical direction for optical engineering projects
- Mentor junior optical engineers and guide their development
- Influence architectural decisions across multiple programs related to optical systems
Requirements
- Experience in designing, developing, and validating advanced optical sub-components and systems for LiDAR technology.
- Proven ability to lead the design, development, and validation of optical systems, with a focus on coherent LiDAR technology.
- Experience in setting technical direction and influencing architectural decisions across multiple programs.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers in optical engineering and related technical areas.
