Job Description
The Data Systems Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing global data systems centered around Salesforce to support impact measurement and reporting. The role combines technical leadership, project management, and team enablement to ensure data quality, security, and effective use across a distributed, bilingual team working in a mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve the global data management architecture to meet operational and impact reporting needs
- Redesign or create Salesforce objects and system architecture for current and future datasets
- Manage data migrations and integrations from legacy systems and between connected platforms
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, quality assurance, and security protocols
- Develop dashboards and reports using Salesforce and Airtable to support data analysis and visualization
- Build, mentor, and support a distributed data operations team across regions
- Deliver bilingual training and capacity building to enhance data skills organization-wide
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience designing, implementing, or managing data systems or data architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce administrator level development.
- Experience managing data or systems transformation projects.
- Experience integrating multiple platforms and workflows.
- Data analysis and visualization experience.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Authorization to work in Colombia.
- Ability to build and grow teams over time.
- Strong systems thinking with attention to both technical detail and human usability.
- Collaborative, empathetic leadership style.
- Comfortable training and enabling non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently while engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Solutions-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
