Job Description

The Energy Market Operations Associate at Nexamp will support the Manager of Energy Markets Operations in facilitating ISO RTO market operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing renewable energy credit (REC) transactions, while contributing to research on market dynamics and policy changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain eligibility for assets in market milestone reporting and financial assurance.
  • Assist in capacity market participation through bids and revenue tracking.
  • Lead new ISO RTO entity registration processes.
  • Assist REC transactions by tracking project production and quarterly trades.
  • Lead ISO RTO billing reconciliation on a quarterly basis.
  • Translate ISO regulations and market changes into actionable intelligence.
  • Coordinate State Program participation with the Regulatory Team.
  • Support asset registration and asset commercialization audit processes.
  • Comply with ISO RTO Lead Market Participant requirements.
  • Attend policy working groups and ISO RTO committee meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of work experience in ISO RTO markets, utility or energy company.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multitask across projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
