Job Description

The Director of Project Sourcing at Nexamp will oversee the project sourcing function, leading a team to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of equipment for clean energy projects. This role involves strategic planning, process improvement, and collaboration across departments to align sourcing activities with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire project sourcing function and lead a team of Project Sourcing Managers and Sourcing Specialists.
  • Collaborate with other functions to forecast equipment needs and manage equipment demand.
  • Influence and approve project budget estimates before project investment approval.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sourcing processes and implement best practices.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate agreements and work collaboratively with suppliers to find win-win solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of sourcing and procurement experience delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • ERP knowledge and experience e.g. NetSuite, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders.
