Job Description
The Fleet Operations Technician at Aurora is responsible for maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, performing both routine and complex mechanical and electrical repairs, and collaborating with various teams to ensure vehicle upgrades and diagnostics are effectively executed.
Responsibilities
- •Maintain fleet vehicles and perform routine maintenance
- •Conduct complex mechanical and electrical repairs
- •Collaborate with Vehicle Operations, Software, and Hardware teams
- •Document and communicate diagnostic findings
- •Assemble or build parts or jigs for prototypes
- •Build and setup test rigs for mechanical and electrical tests
- •Provide feedback and implement improved workshop standards
Requirements
- •At least 3-6 years of heavy truck OEM technician experience.
- •At least 2 years of heavy truck diesel experience.
- •Solid diagnostics chops.
- •Valid US driver's license.
- •Demonstrate knowledge of basic workshop etiquette.
- •Provide verbal and written communication across all teams.
- •Safety conscious and knowledge of general shop safety.
- •Basic knowledge of DOT and CVSA rules and requirements.
- •Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- •Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit frequently throughout the duration of the day.
- •Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- •Attention to detail and highly organized.
- •Ability to travel as needed.
- •Available to work day or night shifts.
- •Ability to work 8 and 12 hour shifts.
- •Ability to work early mornings or late nights, on rotating shifts.
- •Ability to work regular overtime and some weekends.
- •Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- •Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- •Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Benefits
- •Compensation/salary range: $34.00 - $44.00 per hour
- •Work schedule: Friday-Monday day shift, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Friday-Monday, 5:30 AM - 5:30 PM on Saturday-Sunday
