Job Description
The Associate Pre-Sales Systems Engineer will lead technical sales efforts by understanding customer needs, promoting Pure Storage solutions, and delivering technical presentations. This role involves hands-on experience with storage products, managing evaluations, and collaborating with marketing to support sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an exhaustive understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making motivations
- Promote the advantages of Pure Storage solutions
- Refine sales strategy and take command of technical responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and expertise on storage products and architectures
- Manage evaluations, benchmarks, Proof of Concepts, system configurations, and installations
- Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers
- Capture customer requirements and translate them into innovative solutions
- Author responses to Private and Public Sector RFI RFPs
- Identify new opportunities for interoperability and performance testing validation
- Liaise with product and technical marketing to produce supporting materials
- Stay current with competition and market trends
- Travel around the territory as required
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience is required.
- 2 - 3 years minimum experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large enterprise accounts and data centers.
- Must have previous experience selling storage solutions.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client server and web-based computing solutions.
- Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
- Contribute significant portions and or lead responses to Private and Public Sector RFPs, RFQs and RFIs, including PaP responses.
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, UNIX OS, NFS file systems and UNIX distributed network environment.
- Installation configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, windowing systems.
- Knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP IP and general networking.
- Must speak English fluently and have excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
- BS in CS, EE or other technical degree and or equivalent experience.
- Full knowledge of 8666 13303 Brazilian laws and reverse auction process.
