Job Description
The Industrial Security Specialist III is responsible for leading all aspects of classified programs with minimal oversight, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations, and mentoring junior team members. This role involves security administration, compliance analysis, and conducting security education briefings.
Responsibilities
- •Draft, maintain, and administer Standard Operating Procedures
- •Update security databases on classified and unclassified systems
- •Interface with internal and external customers in support of program-related activities
- •Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure mission success and compliance
- •Review and assess contractual requirements and create and implement processes that meet customer requirements and HRL standards
- •Lead internal audits of classified programs to ensure compliance and best practices are implemented
- •Participate and represent HRL in external audits conducted by USG
- •Write recommendations for corrective actions or improvements to the security program
- •Conduct security briefings to staff
- •Create security education material that is effective and relevant to HRL
- •Mentor junior members of the HRL Security team
Requirements
- •Minimum of 4 years as a CPSO, CSSO, CSO, or FSO.
- •Prior experience in military, law enforcement, or security.
- •Experience with security systems including Intrusion Detection, Access Control, SIMS, DISS, and NISS.
- •Highly proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- •Proficiency with Service Now or other similar ticketing applications.
- •Subject matter expertise in ICDs, 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM, DoD manuals, and other applicable guiding documents.
- •Completion of DCSA CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities.
- •Bachelors in related field such as Security Management; will consider other degrees and experience in lieu of degree.
- •Must be a US Citizen.
- •Must possess and maintain a current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- •Must be able to successfully pass a polygraph examination.
- •Ability to sit and use computers for extended periods of time.
- •Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds.
- •Ability to use a ladder and traverse construction sites.
